Sultan-ul-Tarekeen Syed Mohammad Abdullah Shah Madni Jillani Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh died on 29th Ramadan, 1276 H (20 April, 1860 AD). His beloved devotee Pir Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh used to hold his sacred Urs on the second Sunday of Shawal every year. Following this tradition Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman Madzillah-ul-Aqdas also holds his Urs on the second Sunday of Shawal every year.
Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr celebrated the sacred Urs of Syed Mohammad Abdullah Shah Madni Jillani Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh under the celestial patronage of Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman Madzillah-ul Aqdas on 2nd September 2012 which was the second Sunday of Shawal 1433 H, at his shrine in Ahmed Pur Sharqiah Bahawalpur. It was for the first time that Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr has held any occasion outside its Khanqah.
On the night before the Urs i.e on 1st September, ablution (Ghusal) with rose water and Aab-e-Zam Zam was given to the sacred grave of Pir Syed Mohammad Abdullah Shah under the supervision of Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur Rehman Madzillah-ul-Aqdas and then the grave was crowned (Taj Poshi) and a beautiful sheet was spread over it (Chadder Poshi).
On 2nd September disciples and devotees from all over Pakistan started reaching the shrine of Syed Mohammad Abdullah Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh early in the morning. The celebrations began at 10 o’ clock. Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur Rehman Madzillah-ul-Aqdas presided the holy occasion. After the recitation of the Holy Quran and Naat sharif, Mufti Mohammad Farooq Zia Sarwari Qadri delivered an elaborated speech on Haqiqat-e-Mohammadia. Afterwards Hafiz Mohammad Hammad-ur Rehman Sarwari Qadri had the honour to recount the life history of Syed Mohammad Abdullah Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh and put light on his dignity and splendour. The encomiums and recital praises were presented in the celestial court of Syed Abdullah Shah Rehmat-ul-Allah Alayh. After Drood-o-Salam Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur Rehman Madzillah-ul Aqdas offered Dua.
Ladies department of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr also held the Urs at the house of Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur Rehman Madzillah-ul Aqdas in Lahore.
